WINTEX : Weaving innovation among academia and industry in the Tunisian textile sector

WINTEX project aims to fill the gap in the area of specialized services for the Tunisian textile sectorwith the establishment of three innovation textile centers located at the participating  Universities in Tunisia:  ISAM (University of Sfax), IS2M (University of Monastir) and the ISET (Higher Institute of Technological Studies of Ksar Hellal).

The project will promote the collaboration between the participating European organizations and the onesTunisia, by creating a network, which may benefit the textile industry in the countries involved in the project.

 WINTEX will implement activities involving capacity building of staff for the new centers, equipping centers, pilot services to promote the knowledge transfer, workshops and the launch of the Academia Textile Industry Council as catalyst

WINTEX objectives

1.     To establish 3 innovation textiles’ centerswithin the participating Tunisian universities (ISMMM, USF and ISET)

2.     To promote cooperation between HEIs and businesses and strengthen the relationship by creating the Academia Textile Industry Council

3.     To promote innovation and technology transfer in the innovation textiles’ centers

4.     To establish further cooperation between EU and TunisianHEIs and textile businesses
